Course Objectives Upon completion of the workshop, the participant will be able to:
1. Understand 42 CFR to assist participant in complying with the requirements of the regulations.
2. Learn about various “red flag” situations where legal advice should be sought.
3. Understand HIPAA including the areas of discrepancy between HIPAA and 42 CFR, how to deal with these discrepancies, and how to fulfill the administrative requirements of HIPAA.
4. Learn about other references and resources for researching and/or resolving confidentiality issues.
